The kennel is small, maintained by the Stockdales on 20 Acres with a lake. The kennel occupancy is between 7 and 10 dogs producing 2 or 3 litters per year. The dogs enjoy their own runs and are brought indoors for the night and during inclement weather. In their other lives Ed is a Restaurant Manager and Betty is an Executive Recruiter. They started breeding to upgrade their show stock, but by request, are now having 2 or 3 litters per year. Ed and Betty are members of the Atlanta Terrier Club and National Staffordshire Terrier Club as well as prior board members of the Conyers Kennel Club. Betty is also President of the Douglasville Kennel Club. They attend educational seminars on a regular basis. Unlike some kennels, Stockdale dogs are socialized and regularly interact with Ed and Betty as pets. "Victor", CH Ruff Rider's Limited Edition won Best Of Breed at Westminster in 1996. He's also a movie star, having starred in the movie "Black Dog" staring Patrick Swayze, Randy Travis, and Meatloaf. The movie was released in 1998. Tiger was also in the movie and now visits nursing homes on the weekend. The Stockdales attend approximately 90 shows per year, but believe that the best place for a pet is in the home of a loving owner. The Stockdales breed for stability, brains, and beauty. The couple is always available to their puppy buying family to answer questions and help - but you must send pictures! If additional information is needed, please do not hesitate to call. Both virtual and real visitors are welcome. |
